EATON TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING
January 5, 2012

Supervisor Roberts opened the regular January meeting with the pledge to the flag of our Country. In attendance were Supervisor Roberts, Treasurer Dolman, Trustee Hunt, and Clerk Cleary. Absent: Trustee Bankhead.

Clerk Cleary read the minutes from previous month's meeting. Trustee Hunt moved to accept the Clerk's report. Trustee Bankhead supported. MOTION CARRIED.

Treasurer Dolman presented the Treasurer's report in written form. Clerk Cleary moved to accept the Treasurer's report as written. Trustee Hunt supported. MOTION CARRIED.

Supervisor Roberts moved to pay current expenditures. Trustee Hunt supported. MOTION CARRIED.

There was no Sherriff's report.

CORRESPONDENCE
Trustee Hunt spoke with the fire chief regarding a fire run and confirmed that a warning was issued to the individual. Treasurer Dolman reported that she has had many notes and call regarding the tax holiday granted by the board.

PUBLIC COMMENTS
None.

NEW BUSINESS

Marie' Bed and Biscuit Request CU-4-06-9
Trustee Hunt moved to recommend approval to the County for changing the conditions on CU-4-06-9. Trustee Bankhead supported. MOTION CARRIED.

Resolution 2012-01
Clerk Cleary presented Resolution 2012-01 to change financial firms for the township retirement plan from Symetra to Burnham and Flower. Trustee Bankhead moved to approve Resolution 2012-01. Treasurer Dolman supported. A roll call vote was taken:

Cleary- Yes
Roberts- Yes
The supervisor declared the resolution adopted.

Reimbursements
Clerk Cleary asked the board to reimburse Kim Simmons, precinct chair for her time and miles for the Charlotte Public Schools recount. Trustee Bankhead moved to reimburse the chair for her time and mileage spent during the CPS recount. Trustee Hunt supported. MOTION CARRIED.

Eaton County Master Plan update
The board did not wish to make any formal comments on the update at this time.

REPORTS

Recreation Co-Op
Trustee Bankhead reported there would be a public hearing on the recreation plan on January 12, 2012 and then the units of government would have to re-approve the plan before it can be submitted to the MDNR.
